This ink is crafted with urban oak galls foraged in the late fall and home brewed iron oxide. The chemical reaction between the tannins in the galls and the iron creates a rich black ink. Oregano oil or clove oil is added to prevent spoilage and gum arabic is added for flow and texture.
The ingredients for this art material were thoughtfully foraged on un-ceded Kalapuya land. A percentage of all sales will go to indigenous land stewards. The exact amount and destination is still being worked out- feel free to make a suggestion!
